Pad Mount Switchgear
Underground Distribution Switching & Protection
Pad-mounted switchgear is the critical switching and protection component in underground power distribution systems. Housed in low-profile, tamper-resistant steel enclosures at ground level, these units provide safe, accessible switching for residential subdivisions, commercial developments, and industrial parks.
Dead-front construction eliminates exposed energized parts, allowing operations personnel to safely perform switching operations without specialized protective equipment. Loop-feed configurations provide redundant power paths for enhanced reliability.
Xplor Energy supplies pad-mounted switchgear in a range of voltage classes and configurations, including new units from leading manufacturers and fully reconditioned equipment with modern vacuum interrupters and solid-state controls.
